As in previous years, the Minister of Finance will have the Nation’s undivided attention when he presents the 2014 Budget to Parliament on 25 October 2013. His Budget is expected to address the pertinent issues of growth and inflation and financial policies that the Government will pursue for the coming year.

In the run-up to the previous budget, many ideas have been proposed on these issues. Thus, the Post- Budget Dialogue will provide the occasion for the Secretary General to the Treasury and his team to address the seminar and participate in the discussion, to clarify and explain the Budget proposals. The discussion will be tightly focused on key issues, raised by a panel of notable experts in their respective fields.

This year, Malaysian Economic Association is planning to hold a dialogue session to discuss the Budget.
